Jay Gulley, Pharm.D

Jay grew up in Carthage, Mississippi, where he began his career in pharmacy during his high school years.  He continued working as a technician in an independent retail pharmacy during his 2 years at Mississippi College in Clinton, and all throughout his pharmacy school training at the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy.  After graduation with his doctorate of pharmacy from Ole Miss, he worked for about 6 years in chain retail pharmacies.  He then left the retail world for something that would give him the opportunity to serve patients on a more personal and individualized level.  He then worked for over a year in the transplant department of a specialty pharmacy in the Jackson, Mississippi Metro area.  Jay really found his passion in serving patients in the “transplant world.”  There are many obstacles and hurdles to face in this “transplant world”, but when working in transplant, he really felt like part of a true healthcare team.  Through collaboration with physicians, nurse coordinators, social workers, pharmacists, and patients, Jay really felt like he was making a difference in these patients’ lives.  This is what led him to open The Transplant Pharmacy.  He looked around the landscape of pharmacy in the country and saw many huge “specialty pharmacies” that had some transplant patients; but there really weren’t many, if any, “transplant pharmacies.”  Jay’s goal for The Transplant Pharmacy is to be a place where patients, who have had or will have organ transplants, can come and know that their needs are important and their requests will be met with the absolute best care in the country.  Jay married his best friend, Andrea (also of Carthage), in 2007 and they have two children (Walker and Lyndon).  Jay and his family currently reside in Madison, MS, where he is actively involved in the youth department at his church.  In his free time, Jay loves playing golf and watching Ole Miss football.

A native of Carthage, Mississippi, Chad graduated from The University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science degree in pharmaceutical sciences, followed by a Doctorate of Pharmacy. Upon graduation from Ole Miss, he began a 17-year career at a local, retail pharmacy before joining The Transplant Pharmacy team in 2018. It was a love of patient care and interaction that drew him to this career. Chad was able to nurture and grow these skills practicing in retail pharmacy, but a desire to learn more about specialty medicine attracted him to The Transplant Pharmacy. Chad is married to Meredith, and they have two sons, William and Franklin. They currently live in Madison, Mississippi. Meredith grew up in Jackson and is the director of communications at First Presbyterian Day School. Chad enjoys playing tennis, following Ole Miss sports, and attending Rebel football games.

Ian, a graduate of The University of Mississippi, comes to The Transplant Pharmacy with over 22 years of experience in the specialty pharmacy industry.  The majority of those 22 years has been spent primarily working in the “transplant world” with solid organ transplant, and through those 22 years, Ian has amassed a wealth of knowledge about the inner-workings of transplant pharmacy.  We are very excited about the knowledge he brings; however, we are most excited that he brings with him a willingness, eagerness, and God-given ability to make and build meaningful and lasting relationships with everyone he meets.  He shares The Transplant Pharmacy’s goal of providing the absolute best pharmaceutical care in the country, and he understands the avenues and obstacles that arise when trying to provide that type of care.  Through his role as Director of Business Development and Marketing, Ian will work to facilitate a seamless relationship between the patient, pharmacy, and clinic.  He will also be an asset to the pharmacy for issues that arise with compliance, credentialing, governmental affairs, startup and provider relations.  He and his wife, Liz, currently reside in Oxford, MS, where they are parishioners of St. John the Evangelist Church; and they have three grown children.  Ian enjoys anything Ole Miss sports related and is proud to acknowledge that he recently joined the “Crossfit community” in Oxford.
